Our vision is to cultivate AI professionals with global competitiveness and influence, establish a leading innovative academy, and drive continuous development in AI+ industries and technologies.
Mission:
- To cultivate AI professionals and industry leaders with extensive theoretical knowledge, adaptable skills, practical expertise, interdisciplinary perspectives, and creative thinking;
- To investigate cutting-edge AI research, promote technological innovations and breakthroughs, and assist industries in their digital transformation and intelligent upgrading;
- To support national industrial strategies, stimulate the creation of an AI industrial ecosystem, and provide comprehensive support and services for regional AI deployment and industry development;
- To integrate high-quality resources from Chinese and international partners, align with local development needs, and actively engage in interdisciplinary exchanges and cooperation;
- To facilitate the global dissemination of research findings and offer innovative solutions to challenges worldwide.
About
The Academy of Artificial Intelligence (AOA) was founded in September 2023 as the pioneering institute for innovation at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU). It integrates AI chips, deep learning frameworks, algorithm models, and practical application scenarios, and was jointly established by the Suzhou Industrial Park Administrative Committee, XJTLU, and Baidu, Inc.
The AOA aims to cultivate highly skilled and knowledgeable AI professionals with principles of education-oriented, industry-focused, and production-education integrated. Its goal is to apply AI to create positive impact in education, scientific research, industry, and society.
As a research and practice-oriented academy, we are dedicated to building an AI learning platform for students and professionals from various fields, ranging from the teaching of fundamental knowledge to advanced application development. We aim to promote cross-disciplinary integration and drive technological advancements, taking a pivotal role in industry-academia partnerships in China and abroad.
