Abstract

This AFCT Further Education and Career Guidance Session is divided into two parts:

Session 1 focuses on Onsite CV Guidance, offering one-on-one resume review and suggestions by professional staff from the Career Development Centre to support postgraduate applications.

Session 2 is an Online Further Education Guidance and Alumni Sharing. It includes further education advice, sharing from outstanding alumni across various programmes on their study experiences, key points for postgraduate applications, how to secure internships and project opportunities, career paths, and essential skills.

Session 1-CV Guidance:

1. Name: Dongying Ji
Title: XJTLU Student Admissions and Career Development Office--Senior Career Officer

Session 2:

1.Name: Yafei Li
Title: BA in Filmmaking, XJTLU
Bio: Currently studying Editing at the American Film Institute (AFI). Received scholarships for three consecutive years, top three in the FLM programme. Successfully applied to American Film Institute (AFI), Chapman University, and other top film universities.

2. Name: Yifei Sun
Title: BA in TV Production, XJTLU
Bio: Currently studying Film and Screen Studies at the University of Cambridge. Received offers from several top universities, including the University of Cambridge, University College London, King's College London, and the University of Amsterdam.

3. Name: Ke Zhang
Title: BA in Digital Media Arts, XJTLU
Bio: A First-Class Honours graduate in Digital Media Arts, now completing a Master's in Visual Arts at Columbia University and based in New York. Admission was secured with full scholarships to multiple prestigious US institutions, including Columbia University, Carnegie Mellon University, and Parsons School of Design.

4. Name: Qinyao Shen
Title: BA in Arts, Technology and Entertainment with Contemporary Entrepreneurialism, XJTLU
Bio: Currently studying Modern and Contemporary Art: History, Curating, Criticism at the University of Edinburgh. Received 1st place in the ATE programme for two consecutive years and was awarded scholarships.

5. Name: Meitong Liu
Title: MSc in Cultural and Creative Industries, XJTLU
Bio: Production Specialist in the Film Department at Beijing Xiaonianqing Culture Media Co., Ltd., with key credits including the role of Post-Production Assistant on the theatrical film A Cool Fish 2, Production Specialist on Sound of Silence, Production Assistant on The Legend of Hei 2, and Production Assistant on the web film A Shot at Fate.
