On 19th February, the School of Languages at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University successfully hosted its second AI Potluck event.
The event aimed to explore how AI technology can further enhance the daily teaching, research, and professional activities of educators through mutual exchange and collaboration.
Featuring six interactive booths, seven language lecturers showcased cutting-edge AI tools they use, including teacher-centred GenAI tools, the XIPU AI tutor and customised chatbots, research-related AI tools, and text-to-video/audio AI tools.
Throughout the event, the lecturers actively engaged, gaining in-depth insights, hands-on experience, and participating in dynamic discussions at each of the booths.
Together, they explored the potential applications of AI technology in education, generating a wealth of innovative ideas. These interactions not only strengthened collaboration and understanding among faculty members but also provided valuable new perspectives and directions for the future of language teaching and academic research within the School.
