Academy of Future Education and Mountain Kingston Education Group launch joint internship base to cultivate future-ready talent in the age of AI

On 27 February, the Academy of Future Education at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) and Mountain Kingston Education Group held a launch ceremony for a new joint internship base. The event gathered leaders from both institutions, invited guests, and student representatives to mark a significant step forward in industry-education collaboration aimed at nurturing future education professionals.

Professor Wen Wang, Associate Dean of the Academy of Future Education, emphasised the Academy’s commitment to a forward-looking, interdisciplinary, and globally minded approach to education. She said the partnership with Mountain Kingston Education Group represents a key initiative in advancing industry-academia integration and reimagining future-oriented education.

Mr. Zhenyun Peng, Dean of the AI College at Mountain Kingston Higher Vocational Institute, echoed this commitment. “Mountain Kingston has long focused on the intersection of emerging technologies and education,” he said. “This collaboration with XJTLU reflects our shared belief that AI can empower the future of learning. By leveraging our respective strengths, we will develop an integrated ecosystem for talent training that links research, practice, and application—equipping students with the skills to drive progress in the AI sector.”

Following the speeches, the two parties signed a formal agreement and unveiled the new internship base. A mentor appointment ceremony also took place, with Mountain Kingston Education Group naming several seasoned industry professionals as internship supervisors who will provide tailored guidance to XJTLU students throughout their placements.
